Description

Helleborus HGC® SR Merlin® is a hardy evergreen perennial that exhibits a bushy, clump-forming habit, reaching an approximate mature height of 50cm. Its leathery dark green foliage showcases a striking marbled pattern, providing a beautiful contrast to the clusters of outward-facing, bowl-shaped cream flowers that bloom in spring. These flowers gradually flush pale pink and deepen in colour as they mature. This hellebore is an excellent addition to the garden, bringing vibrant colour and seasonal interest to shaded areas. It thrives in full shade to partial shade and prefers moist but well-drained soil types.

AKA: hellebore [HGC Merlin], Helleborus × ballardiae 'Coseh 810'PBR, Helleborus 'HGC Merlin'

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
