Description

'Regent' is one of the most popular grapevines for UK growing and a great option for beginners. This grapevine is an early ripening, self-fertile variety with a good resistance to diseases, producing large blue-black grapes with a sweet and refreshing flavour. An excellent choice for both juicing and wine making; wines made using 'Regent' grapes have a moderate acidity and rich colour and delectable cherry aromas.

With an upright growing habit, Grape 'Regent' has green foliage that turns attractive shades of bright orange and red for autumn. Best planted against a wall in a sunny part of the garden.

AKA Vitis vinifera 'Regent'

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
