Description

Mesembrine Nectarine trees have colourful pink blossom followed by tasty flat nectarines. The red-flushed fruits are ready to pick in August, containing juicy yellow flesh that is delicious eaten fresh. They have a well balanced taste, sweeter than other flat nectarine varieties.

A relatively new variety of Nectarine tree that was introduced around 2005, Mesembrine copes with a range of soil types that are well draining, preferring a sunny and sheltered location.

AKA Prunus persica 'Mesembrine'

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
