Description

With bright pink spring blossom and reliable heavy crops, Peregrine Peach trees are a popular choice. The dark skinned peaches contain pale flesh that has a wonderful intense flavour. They are sure to delight, whether eaten fresh or used in cooking. The stones fall away from the fruit, which is of particular benefit when using them for culinary purposes.

Arguably the best variety to grow in the UK, Peach Peregrine requires a sheltered position with full sun.  It is self fertile, so only one peach tree is required to produce fruit. The pretty pink blossom is also of benefit to pollinating insects.

Prunus persica 'Peregrine' originates from Sawbridgeworth 1906.

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
