Description

A beautiful deciduous shrub, Caropteris 'Grand Bleu' shows a spectacular display of colour from August till October. The luscious deep blue flowers are complemented by its dark green foliage which provides an aromatic scent. The blooms are nectar rich, making it a perfect choice for a wildlife garden to attract pollinators and bring any garden to life. Reaching a maximum height and spread of 1 meter, it is ideal for growing in containers and adds a burst of color to brighten up the garden later in the season.

'Grand bleu' will thrive in full sun within a sheltered environment. It prefers moist but well-drained, chalk, loam and sand soils.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
