Description

'Summer Sorbet' is a dense shrub with a bushy habit. It is noted for its pretty variegated green and yellow foliage, complemented by its delicate, pale blue flowers. Blooming in late summer and autumn, this is the perfect shrub for adding colour later in the season, whether planted in a border or container. By putting on an impressive display, being low maintenance, and adored by pollinators, it has earned both the RHS Award of Garden Merit and the Plants for Pollinators designation.

'Summer Sorbet' will thrive in full sun within a sheltered environment. It prefers moist but well-drained chalk, loam and sand soils. It has a maximum height and spread in 20 years of 1 meter, making it ideal for container planting.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
