Description

Darwin's Barberry is a dense, evergreen shrub ideal for use as hedging. Small and glossy green leaves are accompanied by clusters of vibrant orange-yellow flowers in spring. Following the flowers, small blue-black berries appear, providing a food source for birds and wildlife.

In 20 years you can expect an approx. height and spread of 2.5 x 2 metres.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
