Berberis Lologensis 'Apricot Queen' is a medium-sized, evergreen shrub. The glossy, dark green leaves are spiny and provide a striking contrast to the abundant, delicate orange flowers that bloom in spring and summer. These flowers hang in dense clusters, creating an impressive display that adds vibrant color to any garden. With a broad tolerance for different soil types and low maintenance needs, it has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Berberis lologensis 'Apricot Queen' thrives in full sun or partial shade in an exposed or sheltered setting. It can grow in moist, but well drained, chalk, loam, sand and clay soils and has an ultimate height and spread of 2.5 meters.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
