Description

Morus alba 'Pakistan' is a rare variety of mulberry tree, sometimes known as a Giant Fruit Mulberry tree because of the exceptionally large size of its fruits. They have a sweet, tart and juicy taste, and are larger than English mulberries, in some instances reaching up to 4.5 inches in length. Ready for picking in the UK around August time, you can enjoy the fruits fresh when fully ripe or use them in cooking. As a self-fertile variety, Morus alba 'Pakistan' does not require another tree for pollination.

Like all mulberry trees, Morus 'Pakistan' prefers a sheltered position in full sun for the best fruits, as well as a moist well-drained soil.

AKA Giant Fruit Mulberry, Morus macroura 'Pakistan', Pakistan Mulberry

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
