Description

Viburnum tinus is an attractive evergreen shrub with plenty of seasonal interest. In late winter to spring, large clusters of white flowers, sometimes pink blushed, adorn the plant. They are popular with pollinating insects. In summer, the glossy, dark green leaves act as an excellent foil to other plants. In autumn and winter, pretty, dark blue-purple berries join the foliage.

Growing to 3x3 metres in 20 years, Viburnum tinus is a medium sized shrub. It grows happily in moist soil types with good drainage and full sun through to shade. An excellent feature-packed shrub.

AKA Laurustinus

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
