Description

A distinctive variety, Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' produces panicles of lime-green flowers that turn white with hints of pink. The cone-shaped flower panicles coat the shrub throughout summer. The foliage is a cheerful lime-green.

Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' is a deciduous small shrub that will grow to 2.5 x 2.5m in 20 years, but can be kept smaller if pruned. Unlike many varieties of Hydrangea, 'Limelight' will grow in both acidic and alkaline soil. It grows well in partial shade to full sun and can also cope with exposure to inland wind.

Bred during 1990, Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
