Description

Blackberry Oregon Thornless makes a great addition to any fruit patch, producing good flavoured fruits on long thorn-free canes. This summer flowering Blackberry bush produces pretty white flowers, followed by dark blackberries that are ready to pick in late August. Pale yellow autumn leaf colour and deeply divided foliage make it aesthetically pleasing.

The thorn-free canes make Oregon Thornless a friendly alternative to some of the thorny varieties and it can be grown against a trellis or other support system. It will grow in most positions, including those with poor drainage and partial shade.

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
