Description

Acer pseudoplatanus 'Prinz Handjery' is a fantastic small Sycamore that provides changing interest throughout the seasons and is suitable for even the smallest gardens. It is quite similar to the very popular Brilliantisimum, but Prinz Handjery is a little more compact with a nice lollipop shaped head and slightly longer lasting pink foliage.

The new foliage emerges shrimp pink in spring, turning yellow-green tinted with purple underneath in summer. Long yellow flowers follow in late spring to summer and winged red fruits appear in autumn. This dwarf Sycamore grows well in full sun or partial shade and grows to no more than 3 x 3m in height.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
