Description

Hydrangea 'Snowflake' is a deciduous shrub with a bushy habit, typically reaching a height and spread of up to 2.5m. Its bold, lobed leaves resemble those of an oak tree, turning vibrant shades of orange and purple in autumn, adding stunning seasonal interest. In spring, the plant produces panicles of double white flowers, which gradually fade to pink by autumn, complementing the changing foliage. This hydrangea thrives in moist but well-drained to well-drained soils and prefers a position in full sun to partial shade.

AKA: oak-leaved hydrangea [Snowflake] , Hydrangea quercifolia 'Brido', Hydrangea quercifolia 'Flore Pleno', Hydrangea paniculata 'Snowflake', Hydrangea quercifolia 'Snowflake'

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
