Description

Lonicera japonica 'Red World' is a vigorous, semi-evergreen Honeysuckle climber with dark pink and creamy coloured flowers that emerge in masses from deep red buds. Ideal for year-round interest, deep green leaves can be flushed with purple and bronze in winter.

A great choice for decorating walls and fences, plant this woody, fast-growing Honeysuckle in a moist, well-draining soil against a climbing support where its strong perfume can be best appreciated. Expect an approximate height and spread of 8 x 4 metres in 20 years.

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
