Description

Lonicera henryi, commonly known as Henry's honeysuckle, is a twining evergreen climber that can reach a mature height of up to 8 meters and a spread of 1 meter. It features dark green leaves that provide an attractive backdrop for its striking yellow and red tubular flowers, which bloom in summer. Following the flowering season, this honeysuckle produces black berries in autumn.

This resilient plant thrives in moist but well-drained soils and prefers full sun or partial shade.

AKA: Henry's honeysuckle, Lonicera henryi var. subcoriacea.

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
