Description
Blackberry 'Loch Ness' is an excellent compact variety producing a heavy crop of thornless fruits from around mid-August onwards. It is often used by commercial growers because of its heavy cropping ability—it can produce up to 3.5kg of fruit in a single year—but is still compact enough for pots and patio growing. 'Loch Ness' blackberries are large, firm and delicious with a slight tang akin to wild blackberries.
Easy to grow and manage, blackberry 'Loch Ness' prefers a moist, well-draining soil as well as a partial shade to full sun position. Plant in a large pot for a sunny patio or train against a support such as a sunny wall or fence for the best results.
