Description

Chaenomeles speciosa 'Orange Storm' is a deciduous, Japanese Quince shrub with a spreading habit. Its large, double orange flowers create an impressive display, blooming on bare stems before the oval, dark green leaves emerge in the spring. This is a surprisingly hardy shrub and is easy to grow. It makes it an excellent choice for providing a vibrancy to flower beds early in the season.

Chaenomeles Speciosa will thrive in full sun or partial shade within an exposed or sheltered environment. It will grow in a variety of moist, but well-drained soils. It has an approximate height and spread of 1.5 meters.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
