Description
Camellia x williamsii 'Debbie' is a popular variety of camellia, producing large, peony-like pink flowers in early spring against a backdrop of glossy evergreen leaves. With ruffled centres, Camellia Debbie’s flowers make for a stunning display, reaching up to 10cm in diameter.
Camellia x williamsii 'Debbie' has an upright habit and would look lovely planted into a large pot or container, or as part of a mixed shrub border. Its evergreen foliage makes it ideal for adding year-round structure to the garden. Expect a height and spread in 20 years of approximately 3 x 2 metres.
Like other camellias, a partial to full shade position and a moist, well-draining acidic soil is preferred. Having won the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, this hardier Camellia variety performs reliably in the garden.
