Description

The abundance of features and dwarf nature of Aesculus x mutabilis 'Induta' make it ideal for any sized garden. This small Horse Chestnut tree will reach just 2.5 x 2.5 metres in 20 years.

In May, this Horse Chestnut tree features pretty apricot and yellow coloured flowers that stand in upright panicles. The foliage emerges pink and turns green, with the leaves having a long, pointed shaped with finely toothed edges. In autumn, they turn shades of orange and red before falling for the winter.

Aesculus x mutabilis 'Induta' is fully hardy and can be grown in full sun or partial shade.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
